ROLLS – ROYCE PHANTOM/DROPHEAD COUPE

The car for maharajas and the well-heeled, the Rolls-Royce Phantom and Drophead coupe is the best way to say you have achieved everything in life. The chrome dipped grille, like an ornate gate to a world for the privileged few, is also the most imposing piece on the Roller. Because everything else about the car is strong hush! From within the confines of the car, the silence is all pervasive. It’s just like the O&M print ad from the 60’s that talks about the ticking off the clock at 100kph as the only noise from the Rolls. No detail is missed, and the fact that most of the non-essentials are hidden behind layers of leather and wood speaks volumes about the ‘bare luxury’ about this car. The V12 is powerful enough to leave some sports coupes huffing and puffing. For those who want that bit more zing in their life, there’s the Drophead coupe that seems to have been built by some of the best boat builders in the world. Best, in the world of the Rolls-Royce, is just an understatement.
