TATA INDICA/INDICA VISTA

You really don’t need to be a rocket scientist to figure out why the Indica has been a success story. A large hatch with the space of an Ambassador, the size of a Zen and the price just a shade about 800 that’s what Rattan Tata proclaimed. All the ingredients for a successful hatch, the Indica today is in its second avatar. The Vista is larger, more comfortable and more refined that the first Indica – which too incidentally is on sale. The Vista is now powered by a range of Fiat engines, including 1.2 liter petrol and the 1248c multijet diesel engine. Both engines deliver economy, but it’s the multijet that also delivers some extra performance. It handles and steers better than before while overall build quality is now at par with other leading hatches. Space is even better than a number of C-segment sedans, the clincher in a deal. Fantastic value at an honest price, the Vista is a car from Tata that we will definitely recommend as a buy.
